INDEPENDENT ARTIST OF THE MONTH

At B*Star Kitty Press, we think it's important to recognise and highlight some of the talented independent artists, doing amazing work in our area.
Our second "Indie Creator of the Month", is Matt Boyce, Cartoonist, Illustrator and a Teacher based in London.
His cartooning and illustration work have featured in publications such as ImagineFX, Sleazenation, ThreeForFree, Accent Uk and many numerous fanzines, anthologies and mini comics.
Matt also teaches Comic Drawing, Graphic Novels and storyboarding for City Lit in Covent Garden
He's worked with the South bank Centre, Sarjakuvakeskus (Helsinki Comics Centre) & City Lit to deliver workshops in Comics and Animation for Children, Adults and Deaf People.
In 2013 Matt undertook a month long residency as part of the CUNE: Comics Artist in Residence Programme staying at the HIAP Suomenlinna in Helsinki, he was a guest of the Helsinki Comics Festival the following year giving a workshop in the uses of Comics within education.
