INDEPENDENT ARTIST OF THE MONTH September 2016
Anything becomes art if you do it well enough. With this in mind, our Indie Artist of the Month is Warwick Books, a delightful independent bookshop located in Warwick’s historic market place. The shop is owned by Mog and Pauline – who truly do make running a bookstore an art form. Both are avid readers and passionate about the book trade.
Come by and browse their gorgeous shop. They have a fabulous poetry section, a great array of books by local authors and one of the best ranges of graphic novels you’ll find outside of a dedicated comic book store (as well as all the other genres you’d expect to find in a quality retailer). They’re proudly independent and keen promoters of indie creators, running regular literary events to showcase the finest in fringe and alternative writing talents.
Not wanting to make it all about us, but Warwick Books are also stockists of a number of B*Star titles.
B*Star authors, Nico Reznick and C Z Hazard, at a reading/signing event last month, organised by Warwick Books and hosted by Dough & Brew, also featuring indie novelist and musician, Liam Brown.
Pop in and say hello, talk books, check out Warwick Books' bounty of literary goodness, and support an independent business, run by lovely people who give back to their community.
